II KINGS 12:19-21 (KJV)

II CHRONICLES 24:25-27 (KJV)

K19And the rest of the acts of Joash, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? K20/C25aAnd when they were departed from him, (for they left him in great diseases,) his own servants arose, and made a conspiracy against him for the blood of the sons of Jehoiada the priest, and slew Joash on his bed in the house of Millo, which goeth down to Silla. K21a/C26And these are they that conspired against him; Jozachar [or] Zabad the son of Shimeath an Ammonitess, and Jehozabad the son of Shomer [or] Shimrith a Moabitess, his servants, smote him, K21b/C25band he died; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David, but they buried him not in the sepulchres of the kings. C27aNow concerning his sons, and the greatness of the burdens laid upon him, and the repairing of the house of God, behold, they are written in the story of the book of the kings. K21c/C27band Amaziah his son reigned in his stead.

II KINGS 14:1-4 (KJV)

II CHRONICLES 25:1-2 (KJV)

K1In the second year of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel reigned Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah. K2/C1Amaziah was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem. K3/C2And he did that which was right in the sight of YHVH, but not with a perfect heart, not like David his father: he did according to all things as Joash his father did. K4Howbeit the high places were not taken away: as yet the people did sacrifice and burnt incense on the high places.

II KINGS 14:5-6 (KJV)

II CHRONICLES 25:3-4 (KJV)

K5/C3And it came to pass, as soon as the kingdom was established to him [and] confirmed in his hand, that he slew his servants which had slain the king his father. K6/C4But the children of the murderers he slew not: but did according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein YHVH commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

II KINGS 13:14-21 (KJV)

14Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. 15And Elisha said unto him, Take bow and arrows. And he took unto him bow and arrows. 16And he said to the king of Israel, Put thine hand upon the bow. And he put his hand upon it: and Elisha put his hands upon the king’s hands. 17And he said, Open the window eastward. And he opened it. Then Elisha said, Shoot. And he shot. And he said, The arrow of YHVH’s deliverance, and the arrow of deliverance from Syria: for thou shalt smite the Syrians in Aphek, till thou have consumed them. 18And he said, Take the arrows. And he took them. And he said unto the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice, and stayed. 19And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it: whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice. 20And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year. 21And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.

II CHRONICLES 25:5-10 (KJV)

5Moreover Amaziah gathered Judah together, and made them captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, according to the houses of their fathers, throughout all Judah and Benjamin: and he numbered them from twenty years old and above, and found them three hundred thousand choice men, able to go forth to war, that could handle spear and shield. 6He hired also an hundred thousand mighty men of valour out of Israel for an hundred talents of silver. 7But there came a man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee; for YHVH is not with Israel, to wit, with all the children of Ephraim. 8But if thou wilt go, do it; be strong for the battle: God shall make thee fall before the enemy: for God hath power to help, and to cast down. 9And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, YHVH is able to give thee much more than this. 10Then Amaziah separated them, to wit, the army that was come to him out of Ephraim, to go home again: wherefore their anger was greatly kindled against Judah, and they returned home in great anger.

II KINGS 13:24-25 (KJV)

24So Hazael king of Syria died; and Benhadad his son reigned in his stead. 25And Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz took again out of the hand of Benhadad the son of Hazael the cities, which he had taken out of the hand of Jehoahaz his father by war. Three times did Joash beat him, and recovered the cities of Israel.
